Because in some way, shape, or form, the government could later effect you and your family in your near future. What the government does can effect your lifestyle depending on what bills and laws that they pass.

because one day we will all be involved in the government one way or another.

We should care because it will affect us in some way, shape or form. If it doesn't affect us in general it could affect our children, so we should put some concern in the issues going on.

Because it will effect us any time and anywhere and we won't know it until it's too late.

Because it doesn't matter how much you don't care about politics, what the government does and does not do will affect you. Maybe not now, but definitely in your future or kids and grandkids too.

They should care about the problems of the government because it will affect them now and in the future. For example, about the financial crisis that is happening right now. It affects the ability of people to take loans out right now.

they should care because even though they might not like what the government does they are still citizens of the united states and what happens to our government effects all of us no matter how old or how young we are.

Anonymous said...

because those problems could in some way, shape, or form effect them.

Anonymous said...

they affect all of us and our families, especially now that we are getting older and getting ready to go to college and the governments decisions could affect anything

You should be concerned about what is going on with not only the federal government, but even more so with your local government, because it can and will affect you. Depending upon who is elected, what bills are passed, and what laws are passed that can either help or break you. It won't just affect you in the short term, but into the future. There isn't much we can do about the government as fair voting is concerned, but it pays off to study the issues and educate yourself so when you are older you will know and understand what is happening.

people should care about the government and its decisions, because it effects our daily lives. it can effect our education, laws, technology. if it does not effect us directly, it could effect our communities, parents, or children so people should keep up with the decisions of the government.

Anonymous said...

Because the problems now will most likely be around when we have to deal with them.

The government runs our way of life. they make up our laws and we are there to help us better our situations and helping our communities(we hope they will help at least). We should all be involved in picking our government representatives and know what they are planning on doing. One wrong decision can end up ruining us. Without us being actively involved the government could get more corrupt. What the government decides to do will affect us now and in the future.

Anonymous said...

because it can affect the way we live. Government tells us what we are allowed to have avalibale to us and what we can't.
There are like the parents of all parents.

As an American, it is an obligation to be involved with the government. If the people are not involved, the democracy cannot properly function, since it is a function of the people. As far as students go, it's very similar to any sort of skill that one develops. For instance, carpentry. A carpenter must first know about different sorts of wood and how they behave, what different tools are at his disposal, and how to use the two to build something. The earlier we get involved with it, the more we learn about topics, the political processes, and how politicians work. This way, we will be better prepared to build a more profitable future.
