"Green" energy refers not only to natural energy sources, but natural energy sources that can incorporate back into the environment safely and cleanly. For example, fossil fuels are, inherently, natural energy, but they release tons of damaging carbon into the air. Wind, solar, and water energy, however, have little or harmless products, and are still safe for the environment after using. These are more what is referred to as "green" energy.
