Because they still own it, yet they are still making money on it. So they still have control over what is done to the turnpike.

It enables them to make more money while making sure that the turnpike doesn't get ruined.
Because if they lease the turnpike they could use some of the money that they make from that to use to help repair the roads and help the country in there debt.

they still have control over the turnpike
if they lease the turnpike we can use the money that they make to rebuild and repair the roads and highways that Pennsylvania and many other citizens drive on every day more safe for driving.
By leaseing it you still have control over it and you are still gaining money, so leasing it would be god because the turnpike wouldent get ruined

It gives them a way to raise more money to support the maintaining of the Turnpike and other roads, keeping them safe and usable for Pennsylvania people.

It could help clear the debt on the turnpike, and it could also make more money so that we could fix the problems on the roads, etc.

Leasing the PA turnpike would be a fantastic idea... i mean, we would still own the turnpike so we'd still be making a profit off of it, but by leasing it, there's a good possibility that we'd be making more than we were before.
We still own the turnpike, so we can do as we please with it. We are making tons of money from it also.
