Wind power is already an option for PA, we are already using wind power. In Humboldt Industrial Park, Green Mountain Wind Farm, & Somerset Wind Power Project.
on one side it would be good because we wouldnt have to pay for power but then on the other hand we would need enough wind to keep the fans going when PA doesnt get all that much wind
yea because of course its free but you couldnt have them all in the same spot spread those bad boys out in the most windest places and get some energy baby
Yes, wind power is most definitely an option and should be used in PA. This would be a great help in providing energy with out creating a bunch of pollution or other toxic things into the environment. Especially where we are living we could really use that wind power and it gets windy enough for it to work. The reason i said where we are living is because look around were surrounded by nuclear power plants one mishap and were dead. Therefore I think some of those nuclear power plants should go bye bye, but the way our world today is so dependent or wanting more and more energy it's most likely not gonna happen. Another thing id like to say is to John McCain who wants to build more nuclear power plants. I read this last night when looking up stuff for that paper on energy that he wants to have created 45 new nuclear power plants by 2030 and an ultimate goal of 100. I honestly think that is crazy because they say "oh it's zero emission" well maybe but what happens when one blows up... radiation and lost lives maybe even areas that will have to be uninhabited do to the radiation. That is no good. Nuclear is no good if you ask me its dangerous. We should take the elements to our advantage by water and wind power ,so there are not such dangerous outcomes if something should go wrong.
yes it could be an option. we have a lot of wind and open land for the turbines. also, it doesnt take much work to use wind power, and it's a renewable energy source.
yes there are breezes in this state, the wind doesn't stop when it gets to Pennsylvanias border so it would be reasonable to us wind power since we have wind
It is because it is cheap and "green." However, it is not the only type of energy PA needs to create a sustainable, environmentally sound energy system.
yes, wind energy could be an option for PA. some schools in the state are already using wind turbines to help provide their energy. i do believe that it would help, but we can't just rely on wind energy we need other resources.
It could be because it is very inexpensive, but a big downfall of it is that it all depends on the weather, if there is no wind to turn the turbine, the energy won't be produced. And another complaint is that wind turbines are obnoxiously loud, at all hours.
It is an option because it is for the most part free renewable and is not land or water intensive. The down fall is that the wind energy is loud and that there most constantly be wind.
Wind power is an option in Pennsylvania. It's clean, cheap, renewable. Powerful wind isn't even needed, as it works on winds of 6 miles per hour and can give electricty to many.
Wind energy could be a viable source of energy. There are lots of hills and valleys, and regions like that are perfect for installing windmills. However, while wind power is very efficient, it should not be the only source of power. Solar power can work well for certain household items such as swimming pool heaters.
Wind power could be a viable source for Pennsylvania. It does not take a lot of wind pressure to work it either. Plus it would save a lot of money. Krissy

Yes but not all wind energy so that wind does not become the only source of energy we need.
It should be. We wouldn't have to use nuclear power plants and save money. 'Cause wind is FREE!!!
-Aaron Norton
it could be a source of energy because it doesn't take a lot of wind pressure to work.
Sam
it could work as a source of energy because it does not take much wind to work
Aaron
yes but not in all locations
yes because it is free and it doesn't take a lot of pressure for it to work
shane
Yes, it could be an option for PA
Gen
could be a good source of energy also because its free

Yes, wind power is an option. It doesnt take much to work, but we need to not ONLY use wind for energy. Wind is an option.

Yes we should use wind, but not all of it so that wind doesn't become the only source of energy we need
-amanda :)
yes because we don't have to pay for it
Yes, because it would save money and you only need 6mph winds.

Yes we can because it doesn't take much to power them and its free
-Devin H
Yes, it could be a source of energy. It wouldn't take a lof of wind pressure to work. Plus its free!
Lacey :)
yes that could be a option,
we only need 6 mph winds!
& i agree with aaron.
WIND IS FREEEEEEEEEEE!
-Emilyyyyy :]
i totally agree with agree with Aaron Norton on that whole discussion
i totally agree with agree with Aaron Norton on that whole discussion
yes because we need to use other ways to make energy
yes, because we need more energy, and we need it cheap, so it is a very resourcfull option because its free.
on one side it would be good because we wouldnt have to pay for power but then on the other hand we would need enough wind to keep the fans going when PA doesnt get all that much wind
We should have the options to use wind power becaue it is good for the enviornment and it is free. It is also renewable!!!
Yes, because there is a lot of wind here and a lot of open farm land to place the wind turbines
wind not would not be an option because we barely get wind in the summer so we would never get power then the rest of the year it would be a good idea
yes, i think it should be an option because it would mean we'd get free energy from it but it shouldn't be our only source of energy.
yea because of course its free but you couldnt have them all in the same spot spread those bad boys out in the most windest places and get some energy baby

Yes, because we already have turbines in our state and it doesn't take up valuable resources.

Yes it is, but not in all locations so that could cause a problem, but it does not take a lot of wind to work, and it would save us a lot of money.
Yes, it could because we get a fair amount of wind here but would it be more expensive to set up then it would be worth?
yes there are breezes in this state, the wind doesn't stop when it gets to Pennsylvanias border so it would be reasonable to us wind power since we have wind

Yes, Norton, wind is free. Ha.

It should be an option because it is free, and it is also a natural resource so it is very 'green'
It could be because it is very inexpensive, but a big downfall of it is that it all depends on the weather, if there is no wind to turn the turbine, the energy won't be produced. And another complaint is that wind turbines are obnoxiously loud, at all hours.
it would be an option to get cheap green energy, but there are still some downfalls to wind energy like the space and noise
It is an option because it is for the most part free renewable and is not land or water intensive. The down fall is that the wind energy is loud and that there most constantly be wind.
Wind power is an option for Pennsylvania! Ed Rendell even says "wind power id the way of the future!"
wind power can provide your whole house with energy, with winds of only 6 mph!

Wind power is an option for PA, but not in all locations since it wouldn't be enough.
I think that it should be free.
